What we don't know is whether these women were incompetent because they were incompetent or were they elevated to a position of responsibility based upon factors other than competence i.e. the fact that they were female in a Navy that feels the need to elevate female regardless of their competence.
Dissecting Wartburgwatch and I-Monk which presents themselves as blogs dissecting Christian trends but dissect, mostly, conservative Evangelicals who have an historic orthodox view of Scripture. Not a lot of happy commenters seen on those blogs.
I don't know if you have been watching the football, but over here in Germany for the first time they have a female commentator. Nowt wrong with that, except that she isn't any good.
ReplyDeleteGood commentators feed in information about the players during boring bits, but she does this incessently and cannot stop talking. She once talked over a goal!
I cannot but get the feeling that the TV producers feel they have to have a women commenting just because she is a woman and we have to have 'equality'. Appointments ought to be made on merit alone.
This is hardly as important as military incompetence, but I fear we have entered the age of positive discrimination in favour of women regardless of negative consequences!
