In theory, Dee and Deb are sisters-in-the-Lord of Mary K.

IN reality, they appear to be practicing the politics of personal destruction.

I don't think Dee and Deb fear God.

DESTRUCTIVE TO WOMEN

Received a rare comment; "I suppose you should go over there and put those uppity wimmen in their place."

We have seen and heard from  people like Corrie Tenboom who was imprisoned, saw friends and family murdered, quite possible was seriously abused while a prisoner, who after her release never claimed to be a victim.

Then we have the ladies of Wartburg encouraging middle class women to go public as a victim of men - particularly evangelical men.

My belief; encouraging others to become a victim is actually DESTRUCTIVE to their life and their future.  Bitterness is like a cancer - you can grow it if you will;  it will be poisonous to your soul.

So, you have Corrie Tenboom on one side of the room and Dee and Deb on the other.

Being a middle-class victim is a lousy way to live.  That's my take.

THE REAL GOAL

Most recent attack on C.J. Mahaney might lead you to believe that Wartburg's goal is that he would step down from speaking at the TOGETHER FOR THE GOSPEL conference of 2016.

You'd be only partially right if that's what you think.

The REAL GOAL of Wartburgwatch is that the conference would be totally shut-down.

"WHY" you say?

Because these men do not teach the Feminist gospel.  And that is unacceptable to the queens of Wartburgwatch.

When writing the post, you have at least two options.

ONE: Deal with the Text.

TWO: Call John Piper the “soap bubble lady.” The “Deebs” [ cute sorority type nickname ] go with the latter; attacking John Piper.
All of the many commenters follow suite.
Will they attempt to deal with the Scripture? No
The “Deebs” and their commenters are very much people who view Scripture from the lens of our current, secular university culture.
Piper wants to view culture thru the Scriptures. And that's the difference.

[ An observation; ]
 John Piper is now 70, he's always been a small, scrawny guy;  likened physically to the campus nerd.  The "Deebs" are the popular sorority sisters and it is their pleasure to mock him; a 70 year old retired pastor who has actually never harmed them or spoken harshly of them.  This is not new.

So the "dissecting of Christian trends" so often becomes cyber-bullying by the "Deebs" and their fans.  That's how WartburgWatch rolls.

The type of leadership the women at Wartburgwatch despise.



The leadership I highly suspect Wartburg Watch would prefer.

SPEAKING FOR THE INNOCENT? Not so much.

THIS week, mid July 2015, Planned Parenthood Medical director was filmed, over salad and wine, casually discussing how to kill babies to preserve their organs for sale.  It was horrifying.

T.W.W. focused their anger on C.J. Mahaney and Mark Dever, neither of whom has been accused of personal moral failings.

Priorities ladies?  Are you really defenders of the innocent?

Church Discipline vs Wartburgwatch blog discipline

Having been "disciplined" [ shunned and told never to return ] by the high priestesses of Wartburg Watch, I do find it amusing as they rail against church discipline.

Dee and Deb have thrown more than a few dissenters off their blog; they fairly ruthlessly practice blog discipline.
.  They have a narrative;  [ conservative Evangelical Males who follow the plain teaching of Scripture are THE problem in the church].
 If you point out some of the fallacies of their narrative, they will get rid of you sooner or later.  In my case, they made up the rules as they went along.  They are the High Priestesses accountable to no one but themselves.and they do EXACTLY what they accuse the pastors/elders of.  It's rather amazing to watch.
 One of the funny things of their most recent screed against Jonathan Leeman [ and by association Mark Dever - who they truly despise ].is their suggestion that discipline committees need women on them; the suggestion being that discipline would be more measured; even fairer if it wasn't left to the male elders.
  Dee and Deb need a mirror.
