Yeah, that's the ticket. Another "discernment" blog allowing unhappy Christians through-out the blogosphere to pour out their unhappiness and dissatisfaction with the church in the comments section.

Dissecting Wartburgwatch and I-Monk which presents themselves as blogs dissecting Christian trends but dissect, mostly, conservative Evangelicals who have an historic orthodox view of Scripture. Not a lot of happy commenters seen on those blogs.
Your sentence about unhappy Christians pouring out their dissatisfaction is an important one. I wonder just how much potential damage to the church's witness this entails, an aspect that seems to me to be furthest from commenters' minds.
ReplyDeleteHas TWW and similar blogs become and end in itself rather than a means to an end? Is it self-perpetuating rather than doing any real good?
